Arlington Arts Presents ART ISLAND at the Blues Fest

Saturday, June 17 • 1:00 – 8:00 p.m.

For the second year in a row, Arlington Arts presents ART ISLAND – a family-friendly oasis of hands-on artistic diversions featuring silk screening, button making and arts & craft vendors!

BAG IT!  Silk screen your own limited edition Columbia Pike tote bag designed by Washington, D.C., silkscreen artist JD Deardorff. Silk screening ends at 7 p.m. and is  FREE (while supplies last).

BUTTON IT!  While you wait for your bag to dry, color and make your own musical instrument novelty buttons! Designed by artists Hannah & Todd Churn, you can select from images ranging from boom boxes to bass fiddles – FREE.

BUY IT!  The hands-on activities are free… but you can fill your new bag with crafts and other items for purchase in the vendor area! Curated by GRUMP, Arlington’s popular winter arts & crafts show, a select group of local makers offer watercolor prints, handmade terrariums, plush toys made from old sweaters and more.
